At 9 a.m., take a 3‐hour sightseeing tour with a private guide and bus that includes Oslo’s city center and a drive by Holmenkollen Ski Jump enroute to the Viking Ship Museum. Transfer to the Fram Museum and the Kon‐Tiki Museum. Take a ferry back to city center. 5 Minute walk to the Royal Palace for Changing of the Guard, then over to the American Embassy for a Tour.

At 8:11 a.m., board the famous Oslo‐Bergen Railway for Myrdal. Arrive in Myrdal at 12:53 p.m. Depart Myrdal at 1:27p.m. on the Flåm Railway, ranked as one of the top 20 train rides in the world. Within 13 miles, descend to Flåm. Arrive in Flåm at 2:25 p.m. Hike to Nidgarden. 

FRIDAY

At 10:00 a.m., join a guided 1 1/2‐ to 2‐hour Stegastein sightseeing tour by coach roundtrip from Flåm. Stegastein is located above the village of Aurland. On the tour, there will be time in Aurland for a short visit to the shoe factory and outlet as well as the church. 

SATURDAY

Train from Flåm to Myrdal Mountain and Bike down.

Depart Flåm by ferry for Gudvangen at 9:00 a.m. Arrive in Gudvangen at 11:10 a.m. Depart Gudvangen at 11:40 a.m. for Voss by bus. Depart Voss via train for Bergen at approximately 12:50 p.m. Arrive in Bergen at approximately 2:03 p.m. Transfer on own to Thon Hotel Bergen Brygge. Take a ride on the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for a magnificent view of Bergen. Remainder of the day free to visit Bergen’s historic Hanseatic Wharf (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the famous Fish Market on own.

Travel from Bergen via Copenhagen and arrive in Edinburgh. Drop our stuff at Millar Hall and possibly visit the Royal Mile for some shopping. Grabbing food to cook dinner at Cameron Toll shopping center walking past the home of Sir Conan Doyle.

HOMESTAY

Each of the scouts will go on a homestay with a Scottish Scout's Family from Friday 7/27 - Wednesday 8/1. The adults are touring on their own and will meet back up with the scouts at the Bishopton Scout Hut outside of Glasgow on Wednesday afternoon to regroup for the flight home on Thursday August 2, 2012.

Monday July 30th Drive to Loch Lomond/Trossachs National Park, Stirling Castle, then to St Andrews.
